Welcome!!

I have several new followers! Welcome to Refinish It All! I had some increased traffic this week due to my feature on Better After (Thanks Lindsey!!)

I am working on several projects that I will be posting about over the next couple of weeks... I am currently finding myself in a bit of a "project bottleneck". I am about halfway done with them all. HAHA!  Here is a brief list of what you have to look forward to:
  • 3 different refinished lamps... (yes, 3 of them)
  • Refinished Dining Room Table (here's a sneek peek--)

  • Dining end chairs (also in the picture above)
  • Small side/coffee table refinish (havent decided which route to take yet)
  • Standing mirror (it is peeking into the left of the above picture.)
  • MANY MORE!!!!!
So, as you can see... I am up to my ears in projects. As I start posting about the individual projects you can also expect to see how the different rooms in my cute cottage come together.

STAY TUNED!!!!!!!!

(All pics above are from my old Blackberry, apologies for the poor quality :( )

Invisalign Please Be Mine!!

I am at the Blogalicious weekend in Miami Beach, and having a blast. I met the folks over at Invisalign and they told me they were giving away a free Invisalign treatment!  Why do I want this? 2 reasons... My parents did everything they possibly could to give me a good life growing up. At 16 they took me to an orthodontist, (at my request) and got braces. unfortunatly, even though I did everything I was supposed to do, including wear my retainers... my teeth shifted. My wisdom teeth grew in further and pushed all my teeth back. I want to give my parents the result they paid for, because I am grateful for everything they did for me.

Also, after getting my wisdom teeth out, my top teeth shifted and now there are gaps in the back of my teeth and hurt when I eat... this is not a good thing, seeing as how I LOVE to eat.

I hope Invisalign chooses me!!! Please!!!!

Glam Black Mirror

As I build my very own hollywood glam space, I keep looking for pieces that add a special touch. As I scour through websites and books trying to really understand the details of Hollywood Regency decor I fall in love with several mirrors... like this one listed on Ebay for $629!!

Soooo. My search begins. I kept coming across this mirror on Craigslist, listed by a local thrift store:  FOR ONLY $25!!!!!!!  Woo-Hoo!
I taped off the inside portion with the help of my trusty blue tape and the most recent Crate & Barrell catalog. (after I finished my shopping, of course)

Then, I did about 4-5 light coats of Rust-Oleum Lacquer spray paint in black. (my favorite as of late) I did all these light coats to ensure I got good coverage in all the little nooks and crannies this mirror has.
By the way... I have a new best friend. I was having an issue with chronic spray paint finger... no longer an issue. Maybe the whole world knows about this, but I was pretty excited to find out about it. :) cheap thrills, what can I say!
Ta-Da!! I love this thing!

Anyhow, I took the finished mirror and placed it on the wall above my bench. I LOVE IT!!! and it wasn't $629. :)   $25 bucks, plus some spray paint, and a little love is all it takes. I present my Hollywood Glam Mirror for under $30!

What do you think? I am debating if I want to add a coat of glossy finish to give it a little extra shine.
Yes? No?

Blogalicious 2010!

This weekend I am attending Blogalicious 2010 in Miami Beach. This will be my very first blogging event, and I am SO excited! The agenda looks really exciting. There are several General Session covering many topics, but I am most looking forward to the "breakout sessions" where you can choose what type of speaker you would like to see. The three areas they are offering are: Lifestyle, Entrepreneurial, or Technical. I can't wait to get back and dive back into my blog with a new wealth of knowledge.
